Privacy Policy

When you join an event, we store the details you provide:

• Display name — the name you enter so others can recognize you.
• Location — your pickup spot (riders) or starting point (drivers), used to match riders with drivers by proximity.
• Ride details — your role, expected arrival time, and seat capacity for drivers.

We don't require an email address or phone number, and we don't use cookies for tracking or advertising.

Your information is used only to coordinate rides for the event you joined: showing pins on the map, matching riders to drivers, and letting drivers claim seats. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Anyone with the event link can see participant names and approximate locations on the map for that event — that's how coordination works. Only share an event link with people you trust to be part of the run.

A private token stored in your browser controls who can edit your entry. You may also set an optional password to manage your entry from another device. We never display these to anyone.

Data is stored with a third-party database provider and is tied to the event it belongs to. Event data is retained only as long as needed to coordinate the event. You can clear your entry at any time from the event page.

We use Mapbox to display maps and geocode the addresses you enter, and a third-party database provider to store event data. These providers process information solely to deliver their service to PickMeUp.

Because there's no account, you control your data directly: edit or remove your entry from the event page, or simply don't join. Removing your entry deletes the name and location you shared for that event.

We may update this policy as PickMeUp evolves. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above.
